FAQs About Play Testing
At any given time, we have a number of games we could be working on. You might play test a game that is due to come out soon as we put the finishing touches on it. Or you might play test a game that won't be released for a couple of years. We need play testers at all phases of game development, so it really could be anything. By joining our play testing list, you'll receive special emails about specific games.
We'd like you to have access to good quality, high-speed internet since many of our tests are held virtually. It also helps to be comfortable with new technology. You don't have to be an expert! We'll guide you through the process, and teach you how to use the online game play. But it's good to have an open mind.
This can vary quite a bit. We often play test during the day, but we will also test evening, weekends, and early mornings. As for time committment, we generally ask for play testers to set aside 1-2 hours. This will give time for learning the rules and then playing a game or two.
At this time, all play testers are considered volunteers. We are a friendly, easy-going team, and we will do our best to make it a fun and enjoyable experience. We hope you like the idea of getting an insider's look at how games are created and played. If this alone is enough for you to want to join our play test group, then you'll be a great fit!
